Our Partnerships

DCD’s mission is driven by strong collaborative relationships with local, national, and regional institutions and groups. We implement joint projects and activities that amplify our impact, while also supporting our partners to become more active players in environmental protection and sustainable development. Our partnerships are essential to our success, allowing us to scale our efforts and achieve greater outcomes for the communities we serve.

1. Training Programs

  • Solar Energy Training: We have developed a comprehensive training program for engineers and technicians in the field of solar energy. The program includes theoretical sessions held in the West Bank, complemented by practical training provided by the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies.
  • Agricultural Training: This initiative provides farmers and agricultural engineers from the Gaza Strip with specialized training and field visits to major Israeli agricultural companies, enhancing their knowledge in advanced irrigation and agricultural technologies.
  • WaterGen Device Training: We offer training for engineers on the use and maintenance of the WaterGen Device, which is crucial for water-scarce communities in the region.
  • Women Farmers Training: Our training program for Palestinian women farmers focuses on modern agricultural practices, including the use of saltwater and treated water for irrigation.

2. WaterGen Devices

  • Procurement and Installation: DCD has successfully procured and installed two WaterGen Devices in the Gaza Strip. One device, located in Abasan Town, produces 900 liters of fresh water per day, while the other, in Khan Younis City, produces 5,000 liters per day. These devices provide critical access to clean water for local communities.

3. Solar Energy Units

  • Installation and Operation: We have mobilized resources to procure, install, and operate solar energy units in the Gaza Strip. These units include a 106 KW system for water production in various areas and a 21 KW system in Abasan Town used for wastewater treatment.

4. Pilot Wastewater Treatment

  • Design and Implementation: DCD has designed and implemented a pilot wastewater treatment system in Abasan Town, Gaza Strip. The system treats 120 cubic meters of wastewater per day, serving 200 households. We are currently working to secure resources for a complete wastewater treatment system for the town.
